EVMs get color photos & bigger fonts for Bihar Elections 2025
The Election Commission is rolling out reforms to make voting more transparent and voter-friendly. For the first time, EVMs will show candidates’ color photos, names in larger fonts, and standardized ballot designs. Lok Sabha ballots will now use white paper, NOTA stays as is, and voters born before July 1, 1978 can simply file an affidavit for age proof, cutting red tape in registration.
Equinix opens AI-ready data center in Chennai

India-AI Impact Summit 2026 announced
MeitY has unveiled the logo and initiatives for the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, set for Feb 19–20 in New Delhi. With the theme “People, Planet, Progress”, the summit will showcase India’s AI innovation and sustainability efforts. Plans include 570 AI Data Labs, expanding the IndiaAI Fellowship to 13,500 scholars, and developing 8 foundational AI models for critical sectors.
OpenAI adds response speed controls to GPT-5
ChatGPT just got more flexible! OpenAI now lets Plus, Pro, and Business users adjust GPT-5’s response speed — choosing between Standard, Extended, Light, and Heavy modes. While Light & Heavy are exclusive to Pro users, the update gives everyone more control, balancing speed vs. depth of responses depending on the task.
