I (35M) was put in an arranged marriage with my wife (23F) who was the princess of a country in order for there to be a king to rule it. I was really happy since I've loved her for a long time and things started off well, but I began to realise she was rather distant from me and kept talking about her ex who died in the last war. It felt like she paid me no mind and still loved him even though he is dead, he was a well respected soldier but so am I and I can also wield the legendary spear gradivus like him, but she doesn't seem to care.
I was really upset and I met a really nice merchant called gary, who let me vent some of my frustrations and gave me some support along with this really cool black orb as a good luck charm, I would often spend time pondering this orb when I felt down and one day whilst I was wiping it I got the idea to invade some of the neigbouring countries to make our country more respected and show my wife just how much better I am than her ex. The invasion was going great but then I recently found out that my wife gave the royal family's emblem to one of the leaders of a rebel nation in order to bolster his army's morale since its some sort of sacred artifact or something.
I was furious that she didnt realise that I was doing all this for her and ended up locking her up in the castle. I spoke to gary about it and he said that it might be a good idea to have her partake in some sort of dragon ritual to help her think straight.
Right now the leader of the rebel army is about to invade my castle all because my wife betrayed me despite all Ive done for her. I dont get what I've done wrong, am I in the wrong here?
