Also for the sake of avoiding confusion, no this is unrelated to the villainous group of the same name from the Naruto series.
An explanation the sake of those wondering "What the Frak is this game series about?" The Akatsuki series (starting with 2003's Akatsuki Shisei Ichigo) is set in a world with a timeline that diverges from our own in which two countries, modeled after the real world Japan and Germany, fight each other world dominance. And then there is a secret society called "Gessellschaft" (modeled after the real-world Ñazi party) that acts behind the scenes. Where are Indiana Jones, Captain America, Alucard (from Hellsing), B.J. Blazkowicz, Hellboy, Aldo Raines (from Inglourious Basterds), and the Blues Brothers when you need them? Though some of those would be nice DLC ^_^
