Alan Wake II - Ray Tracing On/Off Comparison | Path Tracing DLSS 3.5 | RTX 4090
Alan Wake II is the second game to officially support full path tracing, and the first to ship with the feature. Let's see if it makes a difference! Is it worth the frame rate? It's a dark game so watch in full screen to spot more differences!
Alan Wake II is a very stylistic and pretty game, and is one that looks incredible on even lower settings. In this video we'll find out how much of it's beauty comes from ray tracing, or path tracing. Thankfully it supports the newest DLSS 3.5 with ray reconstruction, so details are sharp and ghosting is a minimum. There are a number of handcrafted environments with a ton of detail, it's easy to wander around and take it in! With frame regeneration, we are able to appreciate these graphics today with more than playable frame rates. Without DLSS you average around 20fps in 4K!!
