Alan Wake Remastered Walkthrough Part 16 Endgame
A refreshed version of the hit action game by Remedy Entertainment, inspired by Stephen King's prose. The most important advantage of Alan Wake Remastered is the improved graphics supporting 4K resolution.
Alan Wake Remastered is a remastered version of an action game with elements of survival horror, which is inspired, among others, by Stephen King's novels and the TV series Twin Peaks. The title was originally released in 2010 on the Xbox 360 console and until its release on PCs it was one of the most important exclusive productions on this system. The Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment, well known for the first two installments of the Max Payne series and Quantum Break and Control, is responsible for creating Alan Wake. The creation of the remaster has been the subject of rumors and guesses for a long time, and its official announcement took place in September 2021.
The main character of the game is Alan Wake, a sought-after author of best-selling novels, who, in search of inspiration, goes on vacation with his wife to the picturesque town of Bright Falls, located in the US state of Washington. After the mysterious disappearance of his beloved, which occurred during a vacation together, the author gets involved in a series of supernatural events that make him lose touch with the reality he knows.
The story in Alan Wake Remastered is told in an episodic form that mimics the classic TV series. Each episode of Alan Wake has its own plot twists and cliffhangers, as well as a short summary of the events so far and a preview of future revelations.
Alan Wake Remastered also offers fans two additional scenarios - The Signal and The Writer, which were originally available as DLC.
Alan Wake Remastered is a third-person action game enriched with elements known from classic survival horror games. We spend most of the time during the game wandering around Bright Falls. We visit, among others, forest trails, farms and local tourist attractions. On the way, we encounter many NPCs and hidden collectibles.
Our main opponent is the mysterious "darkness", a paranormal power that takes control over people and animals. These enemies only appear under the cover of night, and unless artificial light is shining on them, they remain completely invulnerable. In addition to the standard weapon, Alan Wake must always have a flashlight at hand to weaken his opponents. Unfortunately, flashlights use up batteries very quickly. Replaceable batteries therefore remain the main resource we are looking for when exploring the location. Fortunately, sometimes we can also use other sources of light, such as lanterns or flares.
The developers of Alan Wake Remastered improved the three-dimensional models in the game (including the character of the main character), as well as most of the textures. Also new are additional graphic effects and support for 4K resolution. The remaster's attraction is also the possibility of playing with the director's commentary on, thanks to which we will learn more about the process of creating the game, as well as the challenges faced by the developers.
