The eleventh part of the best-selling series of brutal fighting games. Mortal Kombat 11 uses an improved graphics engine and introduces extensive possibilities for modifying warriors (e.g. equipping them with items that improve their abilities).
Mortal Kombat 11 is the eleventh installment of the cult fighting game series, the development of which is supervised by the NetherRealm Studios team. Like the earlier parts of the series, the production was published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
Mortal Kombat 11 offers a carefully directed and cinematic story mode that presents the further fate of the characters from Mortal Kombat X. The characters meet versions of themselves from the past as a result of the actions of the mysterious Kronika. Everyone must face it to prevent history from being rewritten. The story is divided into chapters, and in each we control a different hero - although sometimes we can choose between one of two characters taking part in a given scene.
While playing Mortal Kombat 11, we take part in duels in various arenas. The dynamic fights are extremely bloody, and their brutality is emphasized by spectacular fatalities, i.e. special blows that end the fight. The authors provide us with a wide range of warriors - in addition to old friends such as Raiden or Scorpion, the list also includes completely new faces. In addition, the game implements a special Custom Character Variations system, which allows you to adjust individual players to your individual preferences.
The gameplay is slightly slower than in the previous part of the series, and other changes have also been introduced. X-Ray blows have been replaced with Fatal Blow attacks, which can only be performed when our character has few health points left. There are also Crushing Blows, activated automatically when specific conditions are met - for example, when Scorpion hits an enemy with a spear from the full length of the arena, or when we end a combo with one demanding special blow.
In addition to the story campaign, there is a lot of single-player content. Classic Towers return with a number of challenges, as well as Towers of Time, which diversify duels with various modifiers and external factors. They even allow you to fight bosses - during which three players take turns fighting one, exceptionally strong enemy. In the Towers of Time we earn rewards and item upgrades. It is worth noting that all equipment does not give an advantage in online play. There is also a Vault mode, in which we explore the ruins and open more treasure chests.
In online mode, we fight ranked or less demanding duels - in the former we cannot use our own hero variations. There is also a tournament system that allows you to conveniently organize serious competition among friends.
