Alex Banayan spent 7 years tracking down and learning from Bill Gates, Lady Gaga, Steve Wozniak, Maya Angelou, Larry King, Jane Goodall, Pitbull, Jessica Alba, Quincy Jones, and many more to uncover how they broke through and launched their careers. The journey began when he was an 18-year-old freshman in college. Alex funded the book by hacking The Price Is Right, winning a sailboat, selling it, and using the money to travel around learning from the world's most successful people. After all his interviews, Alex discovered that while all these people may be completely different on the outside, they all tread life and success the exact way... they treat it like a nightclub (which is where the Third Door thesis comes from).
