ALFRED HITCHCOCK VERTIGO - Part 1: Intro
Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo is a psychological thriller adventure game developed by Pendulo Studios and published by Microids. Inspired by Hitchcock’s classic 1958 film Vertigo, the game tells an original story that explores themes of obsession, memory, and perception.
Players follow Ed Miller, a writer who survives a car crash in California’s Brody Canyon. Though no one else is found at the scene, Ed insists his wife and daughter were with him. Struggling with severe vertigo and psychological distress, he undergoes therapy to uncover repressed memories and uncover the truth behind his trauma.
The gameplay focuses on narrative-driven exploration, detective work, and puzzle-solving. Players control multiple characters, including a psychiatrist investigating Ed’s case, and must piece together different perspectives to unravel the mystery. With a film-noir aesthetic and Hitchcock-inspired cinematography, the game creates a suspenseful and mind-bending experience.
