ModRetro is bringing back cartridges! They're publishing newly developed GameBoy and GameBoy Color games, manufacturing actual cartridges, and selling them in stores.

In addition to making the Chromatic, a pretty darn good FPGA Game Boy Color compatible system, they're making a line of new games on cartridges. These titles not only work on the Chromatic but also on anything that can play GameBoy or GameBoy Color.

I review all six launch titles, including:

Tales in Monsterland DX: A charming platformer with RPG elements.
Dragonyhm: A delightful turn-based RPG with exploration and puzzle-solving.
Toki Tori Ultimate Edition: A challenging puzzle-platformer.
