All NEW Volvo EX30 - Visual REVIEW Driving, exterior, interior (Cloud Blue)
Volvo introduced the EX30, a small SUV positioned as the brand's most affordable and fastest electric vehicle. With a starting price of $34,950 in the US and approximately 36,000 euros in Europe, this premium subcompact SUV joins the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge as Volvo's fourth all-electric model. This new addition to Volvo's lineup was built to provide an affordable and city-friendly alternative to its larger SUVs, catering to customers looking for a compact and efficient EV.\n\nThe EX30, announced in Milan, Italy, adopts the naming and styling conventions of its larger counterpart, the Volvo EX90. The 'EX' prefix signifies its all-electric configuration, aligning with Volvo's commitment to electric mobility. The compact SUV closely resembles the EX90, featuring distinctive design elements such as the closed shield grille, Thor's Hammer digital headlights, and a similar dashboard layout.\n\nDespite the similarities, the EX30 boasts unique design characteristics. Its profile is marked by an ascending waistline that culminates in a substantial C-pillar, creating a "floating roof" effect. The hood slopes dramatically towards the nose, and the robust wheel arches stand out much more than on the EX90, infusing a dynamic look to the compact SUV.\n\nThe interior design of the EX30 is a blend of Scandinavian minimalism and cutting-edge technology. The dashboard is dominated by a 12.3-inch single-screen infotainment system, a first-of-its-kind soundbar stretching across the upper dash, and an array of tech partnerships with Google, Apple, Qualcomm, and HaleyTek, a joint venture with ECARX. These collaborations aim to provide the best possible user experience and infotainment platform.\n\nVolvo has equipped the EX30 with a digital key compatible with numerous phone brands and models, a dedicated app for car-related services, and the latest Park Pilot Assist feature for easy parking. Customers can also personalize the interior with a choice between four interior themes and five ambient lighting themes, each with a complementary soundscape.\n\nUnder the hood, Volvo offers two powertrain options for the US market: Single Motor Extended Range and Twin Motor Performance. The single-motor version boasts a rear-mounted electric motor rated at 268 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. This variant is paired with an extended-range 64 kWh NMC battery, providing an estimated 275 miles of range between charges.\n\nThe Twin Motor Performance variant adds a front electric motor for all-wheel-drive capability and a total output of 422 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. This makes it the quickest production Volvo to date, capable of going from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Despite its performance, this model still offers an estimated range of about 265 miles on the same 64 kWh NMC battery.\n\nIn Europe and other markets, Volvo also offers an entry-level Single Motor powertrain with a 49 kWh LFP battery pack and an estimated range of around 200 miles. When it comes to charging, the NMC battery variants have a peak DC charging power of 153 kW, enabling a 10-80 percent charging cycle in just over 26.5 minutes. The LFP battery variant charges at up to 134 kW, achieving the same charging cycle in 26 minutes.\n\n#VolvoEX302024\n#VolvoEX30\n#VolvoEX30firstlook\n#VolvoEX302024exterior\n#VolvoEX302024interior\n#VolvoEX30walkaround\n#VolvoEX30details\n#VolvoEX30new\n\n➡️ Discover all new cars before anyone else!
