Alley Cat is a black diamond (advanced) rated ski run accessible immediately after unloading from the Rock Island Line quad lift at Cataloochee, North Carolina. I would say it is a little bit harder than Upper Omigosh (the other black diamond on this mountain) and has a bit more traffic too. The trail consists of a steady, steep decline that starts steep and flattens out gradually.

How hard is Alley Cat?
For an advanced trail, I would rate the difficulty a 3/10. It's decently pitched, but short (but every trail on this mountain pretty much is). It's super fun to just shoot down as it isn't very punishing (no moguls or icy patches when I was there).

This footage was taken on a GoPro 8 Black and on Alpine Ski Center rental skis in late December, 2020.
