Alpha - Dreamworld Infinite Sandbox MMO RPG - First Hour of Gameplay and thoughts
9Once again, reiterating that this is an alpha - prerelease version of the game. As such it definitely needs some polish but has the potential to be a fun sandbox MMO.
Simple graphically but very vibrant.
Audio needs a lot of love. The music was decent but the sound effects grated at times.
The combat needs some love but I did like the bones of it. Tapping to quick attack, holding to heavy attack, right click to use an ability and the added jump attack feel like they're going to be very diverse in the future.
AI Needs some work to match this and demand the different abilities be used. As it is now the goblins seemed more confused than deadly. Other animals just seemed to run away.
The Gimmick of the treant boss was interesting. I like the inclusion of the terraforming into the boss fight, (assuming I was even doing that right.)
Overall, it was an interesting experience. Definitely not ready for mainstream release but worth keeping an eye on if they continue to give it love.
