Chad Toprak is the Creative Producer and Curator of Alt-Shift-Play. He is an experimental game designer and independent curator. Chad is ½ of Melbourne’s videogame curator duo Hovergarden and was the Artistic Director of Freeplay (2017–2022). He was named in Develop Pacific’s inaugural 30 Under Thirty list for 2018 and was awarded a 2021 Australian Game Developer Award. He encourages the making, gathering, and playing of experimental games in public space.

The exhibition is organised by Chad Toprak, Helen Kwok, and Hsin Yang Ho in partnership with the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade along with the Australian High Commission Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition was made possible with event partner Filamen, venue partner Muzium Telekom & Yayasan TM, and hardware partner ROG - Republic of Gamers Malaysia.
Alt-Shift-Play is part of Australia now - the Australian Government’s flagship diplomacy program. Australia now Malaysia was launched in mid-2021 and has showcased the best of Australian innovation, diversity and creative excellence.
