Altered Beast é um jogo clássico do Sega Mega Drive, lançado originalmente em 1988. É um jogo de ação e aventura em que você controla um centurião romano ressuscitado por Zeus para salvar a deusa Atena das garras de Neff, o senhor do submundo. Você pode se transformar em diferentes criaturas poderosas, como lobisomem, dragão, urso e tigre, usando os poderes que ganha ao derrotar lobos brancos de duas cabeças. O jogo tem cinco fases ambientadas na Grécia Antiga, cheias de inimigos e obstáculos. Você pode jogar sozinho ou com um amigo no modo cooperativo.

Altered Beast foi um sucesso nos arcades e foi portado para várias plataformas, como Master System, NES e Game Gear. Foi também um dos primeiros jogos a acompanhar o Mega Drive como brinde na compra do console. Altered Beast é considerado um marco na história da Sega e do Mega Drive, e um dos jogos mais memoráveis da era 16 bits.

Altered Beast is a classic game from Sega Mega Drive, released originally in 1988. It is an action and adventure game in which you control a Roman centurion resurrected by Zeus to save the goddess Athena from the clutches of Neff, the lord of the underworld. You can transform into different powerful creatures, such as werewolf, dragon, bear and tiger, using the powers that you gain by defeating white two-headed wolves. The game has five stages set in Ancient Greece, full of enemies and obstacles. You can play alone or with a friend in cooperative mode.

Altered Beast was a success in the arcades and was ported to various platforms, such as Master System, NES and Game Gear. It was also one of the first games to come along with the Mega Drive as a gift in the purchase of the console34. Altered Beast is considered a milestone in the history of Sega and Mega Drive, and one of the most memorable games of the 16-bit era.
