Today I am unboxing the AMD Athlon x4 840 FM2+ CPU. The 840 is the cheapest quad core Athlon processor available on the FM2+ range with a base clock speed of 3.1ghz and a boost of 3.8ghz this is the perfect processor for an entry level gaming rig. Being and Athlon you will require a discrete Gpu unlike the Apu range of FM2+ processors this does not have a built in iGPU.
