AMD has CONFIRMED in a series of interviews that Ryzen 7000 / Zen 4 CPUs are UP TO 40% faster than the previous gen processors. At their Computex 2022 conference, while AMD proudly showed 5.5Ghz clock speed for Zen 4 processors, they were cagey on the benchmarks and overall performance improvement over Zen 3. But now they claim that Zen 4 is 40% FASTER than Zen 3.... but is this gaming or workload performance? We examine what this could mean for the real world performance of Ryzen 7000 processors and what Intel Raptor Lake could be doing to counter it.
We also have new info on RTX 40 AKA RTX Lovelace from Nvidia. Allegedly, we will see the RTX 4090 flagship GPU launch FIRST, followed by the usually more gamer friendly 80 series graphics card, the RTX 4080. But will these launch plans ring true?
