In this video, we're flashing the AMD RX 5600 XT VBIOS. Most RX 5600 XTs will have this option made available, as this is an official AMD-sanctioned change and not a hack or a mod. Some RX 5600 XTs will not have a separate VBIOS made available, at which point you've been duped -- sorry. Buy a different card, probably.
The VBIOS flash is easy, but there are important steps and disclaimers. This video is not designed for advanced users and is meant to help walk anyone through the process. We have failed VBIOS flash and bricked video card recovery steps, basic advice on how to avoid bricking the card or damaging it, and steps for validating that the process worked. The entire process takes about a minute, not counting downloads, but the video is longer because we wanted to cover all possible questions about the topic. AMD really screwed this launch by shipping most its cards with a VBIOS that didn't get reviewed, so we want to make sure people get the performance they were led to expect.
