15We set in with a pre battle prayer with the 8th AL. The are thought to have been ordered into the Bloody Lane as the North Carolinians were being flanked by Francis Barlow and starting to with draw. It was a bloody day certainly but I haven't found any reports from the 8th AL that day. One would expect, in a conflict like this, they may not have had any officers left to write one.
