The controls was so awkward. I like the C64 version a lot more.
This version has a score/points system, unlike my previous longplay (Ninja Remix). You get points for each hit on an enemy, picking up stuff and entering new rooms. And as always, I don't care about score in games, so I skip a lot of enemies (and rooms... only showed the rooms I found interesting) and only attacked enemies when it was really needed, or when I felt like it. In Ninja Remix it's hard to skip enemies as they walk faster than you and hits you in the back while you try to run away, but in this game it's not. You can even avoid getting hit while hitting the enemies, if you place yourself correctly. Sometimes this results in a lot of your attacks missing, prolonging the fight, but at least you don't get hit :) I tried to not do it too often.
At first I didn't know what the hamburgers were for. I didn't see health returning, and they can't be selected from my inventory to be used at a later time. All I got was score. But while editing I noticed they give an extra life. I of course checked the manual at first to see if they said what they were for, but all it said was:
"(quote) 'greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his extra hamburger for a friend'."
21:23 - The C64 version has a fun thing happening in the sky here, but sadly it's not in the Amiga version. What happens is if you wait, you will see something in the far distance looking like a bird flying by, then another thing looking like a plane flies by a bit closer, then the last thing flies by even closer, which is Superman :)
22:22 - There's a delay before I can move after I fall down.
23:45 - I so wanted to kill this guy, but it wasn't worth it. I could just have gone for the opening whenever I wanted of course.
24:46 - Yeah, this guy didn't bother me. I could easily grab the thing on the table and he wouldn't even get close, but I haven't used the throwing star yet, so... yeah. Right after, I enter the room at 25:10, which is not needed, but I wanted to show this room as it had a TV and other stufffffz... and again killing someone with the throwing star.
26:20 - This thingy turns of the smoke, and I noticed whenever I use it, I get points. So if you want to farm score, here's a good place.
26:53 - if you don't know the code, you will be stuck and have to restart the game. I couldn't find any way to get out of it. Only the correct code let me continue. The candles can't be lit in advance as they will go out when the boss comes.
Two IPF/SPS versions exist - 0131 & 3094. I checked two other Amiga longplays of this game, and both of them had the wrong colors on the curtains (the one going down and up), so they seem to have used the bad version, which is 0131. The 3094 version has the correct colors (although some pink pixels at the bottom, but gone later). Another thing that differs between these versions is 3094 has a loading text during the short DOS part before the game loads. I checked the disks to compare the content (the game is on 1 disk for both versions), and 0131 has all files with the date "1988-08-29", whereas 3094 has all files with the same date, except 3, which are larger than the 0131 ones and have the date "1978-01-01". My guess is this is an updated version, but they did it on a system with the wrong date set. One final thing that differs is the startup-configuration for 0131 has only "NINJA2", but 3094 has "NINJA2 GAME". I added "GAME" to 0131 to see if the colors would be corrected, but nope.

*Ze important timestamps*:
00:00 - The intro music only lasts for about 20-25 seconds, then ends when it has finished loading. So, I removed the floppy to stop it from finishing, thus included the entire tune.
