One of my favorite games. First played it on my C64 as a kid, and many years later on my Amiga. I've longplayed this twice before. First time in 200X with terrible quality as we (Amiga longplayers) didn't know a better way (bad codec etc). Then in 2009 I redid the longplay as I then knew a much better way of doing things, had higher standards. Today I'm pro AF and noticed after taking a look at the 2009 version that it's not up to my standard of today, AND I cropped a big chunk of pixels off the top of the Batcave level.

3 versions exist: "Budget: Hit squad" (1 disk, SPS ID: 1730), "Retail" (1 disk, SPS ID: 0019), and "Retail" (2 disks, SPS ID: 0006). I took a quick look on all three, mainly the main menu, checking details in case something might have been changed, same on the highscores list, and first moments of level 1. I saw no difference, BUT went with the 2 disk version so I got the 'insert disk' picture (no text, just a floppy disk) AND just in case something might have been left out in the other two 1 disk versions due to lack of space (probably not).

So, finally, and again, I re-longplay this game once more. No missing pixels (except one vertical row of pixels of right side of the bottom hud/panel/belt, but only on the first and last levels for some reason... these pixels never showed ingame for me), showed some extra stuff left out in the other 2 longplays. And, another thing, which is pretty common with my longplays today, I add an "extras" video where I show stuff I didn't/couldn't in the main longplay, like deaths/game over/etc. You can find a link to it at the bottom of this description.

One thing I COULD have included was the Batplane thingy hit the ground, and maybe add the game over part at the end of the movie, and also maybe the 'insert disk' thingies between levels... BUT, didn't want to add those, well, the plane-thingy I would have, but didn't think about it at the time... but the other two was a no - 'extras' only.

I didn't care about playing "good", so I take a lot of damage, especially on the driving and flying parts as I wanted to show all the smoke and fire. On the last level at one point I got bored of waiting for bad guys to come down so I could safely kill them before climbing up, so I just climbed up on the same ladder they were using and took a lot of damage, in case you wondered why I did that :)

I really like the Batcar driving part's music. Had it on loop many times in the background when I work on stuff :). The start of it is really nice, and the general drum beat throughout makes it really nice.

On the flying level I should have waited with taking all the damage at the end instead, so I could have done the level quicker, which I thought of shortly after taking all the damage, but was too lazy to restart.

I got hit by bullets at 05:06 and would normally have died, but killed the soon-to-be Joker first so became immune.

I find it weird that you start off with 2 (out of 3) lives, but when the Batcave is completed, you get the third life, but only until the next level begins and then you're back to 2 again. At 17:35 I pass 200k points and gets the third life.

The controls are great in this game, also the rope, kinda nice it's sort of unrealistic in a way so I can hold left without swinging back - 15:18. Could be useful in some places.

Hmm... anything else.... ye, messy text so far.... ah, right, the Batmobile from the side (when turning) was used in my Kung Fu 4 animation once: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y237b1bScVw (Batman himself is from Batman Returns, also Amiga)
