What a wasted oportunity the Amiga Cd32 version of the game was. It is exactly the same as the 13 disk AGA version just put onto a cd. This version could have been the best version of all (Bar gameplay) having redbook audio for music and the extended cutscenes of the PC DOS version.
The 10 disk ECS version and 13 disk AGA version on the other hand contains quite alot and you wouldnt expect a developer to greenlight this many disks for a poor game. I would of expected even shorter cutscenes resembling the genesis or snes version. For the most part this is just a 320x200 port of the dos version which has a very vibrant 640x400 resolution and a few more cutscenes.
The Amiga version is known for being the easiest version of the game by far with just a simple flying kick to win. This is far from the truth as you need to play on Hard to get the ending. Easy and Medium will loop through fights until you eventually get to Hard. The Ai will constantly block and you cant damage it in this stance. (This is unique to this version). For everyhit you make the ai will instantly counter and you can very easily get stuck in a defensive animation and be torn to shreds.
It seems to be the slowest version of the game as well although thats a game issue I think. On final fight the ai melts and all of a sudden the frame rate doubles. More cpu power can also send the game into warp speed mode. I did encounter a bug at the end (could be emu bug) where the music grinded to a halt. I countered this by messing with cpu settings, but I wounder if it appears on a real cd32. -
