Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson
48Amir Khan came in with one loss on his record and had two belts to his name in the junior welterweight division. Lamont Peterson, the challenger, was known as a slick fighter who turned the bout with Khan into a brawl. Referee Joseph Cooper deducted two points in the fight with Khan called for pushing. Peterson went on to win the fight in his hometown Washington D.C. and the belts.
