Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a game about Daniel, a young Englishman who wakes up in a dark and empty castle with no memory of how he got there.
Following a trail of rose petals, daniel finds a note from and to himself. He has to kill Alexander, the Baron. To reach Alexander, he has to descend into the deepest and darkest corners of Brennenburg Castle, passing through dark prisons, spooky laboratories and horrible torture chambers. Will Daniel be able to face the horrible reality that is his own past, and escape the shadow hunting him?

Why I picked the 'bad' ending:
Most people consider the 'bad' ending to be bad, because they consider Daniel to be good, and Alexander to be bad.
To me, it's not that simple. Daniel was a scared, young man, willing to sacrifice the lives of others, and even torture them, just so he himself could live.
Alexander did the same things.. but for other reasons. He wanted to be reunited with his love. In no way does that mean he was allowed to do what he did, but to me it's a lot better a reason than just being a chicken.
That's why I decided that in his final moment, Daniel realized this. He knew that Alexander used him, and did horrible things. But why would he trust a stranger (Agrippa), who might very well be worse?
Why, after all the work he put in, would Alexander not be allowed to be freed from this world, to go back to his love?
Why would Daniel be allowed to live?
