Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Montage
This is me playing the pants-shittingly excellent Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
It's a survival horror game with brilliant puzzles, atmosphere and story. You have to manage your sanity, as well as your health, as darkness, proximity to enemies and disturbing events slowly drive you mad, which leads to hallucinations and your character whimpering which just makes everything worse. Light can calm you back down, but lantern oil and tinderboxes are limited and attract enemies when used.
Worst of all, if an enemy approaches you you can't fight back. Your only options are to run or hide. This feeling of helplessness amplifies the atmosphere and terror of the game and really makes it unique.
I'm currently lost, locked in a small dungeon area of Brennenburg Castle being stalked by that... thing.
It's more than half way through the game, so I've (poorly) edited out any dialogue, letters or puzzles to avoid spoilers as well as the parts where I was curled in a corner crying for several minutes, so it's about 20 minutes of gameplay shrunken into a 6 minute collection of clips from this part of the game.
If you like what you see there's a demo available on the website and on Steam and the full game isn't too expensive.
