AMS2 Tips on recording VR
22I've been asked a few times how I record VR?
Ok So basics I use GE Force experience, I hit record then I hit stop, I then take that file and upload it straight to youtube, no editing, no voice overs, no script, no re-recording races until I get the perfect race.......Lazy? or Raw experience? Theres a plethora of studio quality edited videos on youtube, fit to grace a multinational TV company, perferct lighting, pefect voice overs, perfect content.....each one trying to stand out from the ever growing crowd of perfect presentation........Welcome to Lofiy youtube here on my little channel LOL........
Racing to me is the experience, the tense moments, the success and the faliures on the track, even F1 drivers get it wrong so hey I'm in good company as I hurtle towards a barrier on fire with one wheel on the car!
As For recording VR, prety much don't let recording compromise how you race, just a few concesions for the viewer regarding head movement and the track lighting and your good, as for comentary, thats a problem, driving and talking? bit of a stretch but try to be natural, talking to a mate not delivering a scripted speech at a buissness convention!
Hope the video offers a few handy hints for others, the race was just me driving safe at the back of the field and a bit plain jane. I have played with a few editors in the past and dabbled with obs but it becomes a chore and ultimatly reduces the image quality, I like the old school aproach of "heres me racing and being slightly funny" aproach to it.
