[AMSTRAD CPC+/PLUS] Fluff - Review & Longplay (Part 1 of 2)
Fluff on the Amstrad 464/6128 Plus machines!
Quite a special video this one, as Fluff is landmark release for the Amstrad being one of the very few commercially released games on tape/disk that is purely Plus only, but essentially was a homebrew release made by one very talented coder Rob Buckley, who setup one of the last software companies and publishers for the Amstrad in the mid-90's called "Radical Software". Those of you who read "Retro Gamer" magazine will have seen the last issue (83) do a special 'From The Archives' feature on Rob and Radical Software, here we look at his standout release "Fluff" in more depth.
Now, in my last video Prehistorik 2 unlocked a lot of the Plus features to great effect, but suffered due to it needing to work on a normal CPC also - here Rob's able to get pixel smooth scrolling, 50fps framerate, 60 colours on screen and more ... but how does the game play? Lets find out as we play Fluff through to completion!
