On Friday I did something for the first time in 2020! I got to shoot all day on location, and not just any location... One of my favourite places on earth, Durham, Co Durham in the North East of England.

This is not your typical highlights reel of a Medieval city. I was asked by the academic who I am working with to examine the real-world context of the World Heritage Site of Durham Cathedral. Warts n all!

I adore this City and when you love something, you also love it's quirks. It was great fun having a license to explore this tourist beacon, casting an archaeologists eye over those places where the ancient and the modern interact (and sometimes clash).

Also, if you film security bollards and bins close to a monument like Durham Cathedral, the University Security Guards WILL ask what you're up to...

Thankfully they believed I was, indeed, on a mission for the Archaeology Department :D
