133Microsoft has been in the console game for almost twenty years now, but the Xbox was not always a recognizable household brand. In this Xbox 360 retrospective, we take you from conception to Xbox 360 launch. With the impending launch of the Xbox Series X, I thought it was a perfect time to go back and look at a time when Microsoft was launching a console that had similarly high stakes. A launch that involved everyone’s favourite Animal Crossing hero Elijah Wood, women with hardware in large sling bags and one of the greatest things to come out of the state of Nevada, The Killers. In this episode of The Gaming Brief, we will be taking a look at the launch of the Xbox 360.
In this video, we break down the position that Microsoft was in before the launch of the Xbox 360, what differentiated the console, the launch and tease what happens next for Microsoft.
