Star Wars: Andor on Disney+ couldn't be more different from the recent crop of Star Wars shows, and that's why it's exactly what the franchise needs right now. While the likes of The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi are heavily steeped in the lore of the Skywalker Saga and feature links to iconic characters and plot lines, this new Rogue One prequel is far removed from all that. We dive into why that's so refreshing and was a wise choice for Lucasfilm and Disney to make for this new show starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, five years before the fateful mission to steal the Death Star plans.
