3Normal Dungeon is the best place to farm event items. They spawn more event stages compared to Hell and Nightmare and is easy to traverse.
Look for a map that has an event stage right after the first stage. Finish it off, quit the chapter, and repeat the process. Check out the rest of the stages first as some maps have event stages intact with each other. You might as well include item shops as they sometimes sell purple gears for 900k gold.
And also, since your earning diamonds from these event stages, it's not a bad idea to use them for energy refills as well.
