006 starts with Quake II music. My favorite
too. Decent into Cerberon. Level was kinda frustrating though. Numerous monsters in every corner. Thankfully it handles a Map full of barrels much better than Barrels O' Fun. Plus I got to sneak a Grenade under a door full of chaingunners. Doesnt work all the time but with skill you can blast those bald fucks before they even get a chance to ambush you. Also when I get a Berserk and | see a baron, | see nothing but something to regain my health and a few bonuses. Soften your target and go for the blow.
The way to get the red key kinda sucks but thankfully the map has the courtesy to give you multiple radiation suits and thank the Plasma marine for helping through all the spectres and chaingunners. He'll be missed.
The end is pretty fun when you meet up with 4 extra barons. Let's me put my rocket launcher to use and gain some more bonuses.
07 is a Dead Simple map with little to no room to maneuver. Thankfully my marine
guy | saved was able to keep them busy while | was able to snipe the monsters away.
08. It's a nod to Tricks and Traps. You got numerous areas to choose from, all of which are equally deadly and the game's first encounter of the Cyberdemon.
With a plan, | went to a specific order of rooms to grab the keys and run. I tried to do a glory kill on a Cyberdemon but it failed BADLY.
09 is another tech base but | at least get a Railgun and there's a tight ambush with the monsters when you get the last key. And lastly a misshapen door that you can open. That's my highlight of the map.
10 is where things get serious. We march to the room to fight 2 Centaurs. Sadly I was alone but with a flamethrower and my chaingun in hand | mowed down those two horsemen demons. They're projectiles are explosive and you'll face bad splash damage if you are not careful.
