0Might as well do a rom hack since I'm kinda running low on classic Mario games.
I discovered this rom hack through Mike Matei and Bootsy yesterday and I figured I'd spend my sick days playing this while I wait to recover. I'm getting a bit better and I hope tomorrow I'm back on my feet.
Anyways it's an okay decent rom hack. My only issue was 8-1. It seemed unfitting to throw in a speed run level while the other levels I've played didn't have 200 seconds on the clock. And I struggle badly on doing the infinite 1-up trick everytime in 8-3 cause based on my casual skills, I wanna grab all of those lives if I had any chance to run under Bowser and head for the axe. But luck had it I managed to knock down both the annoying lakitu and slid under Bowser's feet. There were a few other glitches I found during my previous takes but I often forgot to perform them or they come randomly.
One time I was in the underground section in 1-1 and one coin could not be picked up. I was just jumping and going through the coin like it was a ghost. The second one made me realize the underwater levels have a layer that Mario would go under when he enters a pipe which explains why it looks like he is disappearing in a split second. It further gets proven when I go to the warp zone in 1-2. Learn something new everyday.
Not bad but pretty frustrating when dealing with the clunky controls in SMB1.
