The last game developed by SingleTrac (Twisted Metal, War Hawk, Jet Moto) shortly before the studio closed down in 2000 (which wasn't sad news as they continued as Incognito Entertainment).
Animorphs is mostly a platformer type of adventure game based upon the Scholastic book series Animorphs by K. A. Applegate. Like the classic Sega game Altered Beast this game features the ability to transform into a large animal, but unlike Altered Beast this game isn't particularly fun when in animal form. I'm really not sure what the appeal of Animorphs: Shattered Reality is supposed to be honestly, although I give credit to the game soundtrack (composed by Chuck E. Myers Tom Hopkins) and the amount of variety the game featured. If only it was fun without drugs.
Final Verdict - The bad reviews for this game were well earned, but it's tragic to see a stain on Singletrac's otherwise near-flawless video game discography.
Also, this game is different from "Animorphs" (2000) for Game Boy Color. Singletrac had nothing to do with that game.
