Anto RetroGamer Plays: Mega Bomberman Part 3 - Slammin' Sea ✔
Anto RetroGamer plays Mega Bomberman (also known as Bomberman '94) for the SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis).
Third level. Slammin' Sea. Four stages. Things are certainly getting tougher now. Numerous enemies take two hits to down, and the maps are more complex to navigate. A particular area of note is Area 3-4, where you can get a Heart (take an extra hit), and the Soft Block Pass, which allows you to move through soft blocks without destroying them. Just don't stand inside a soft block that's about to get bombed though.
Enemies: (Personal difficulty level in parentheses)
Starfish: Move fast and erratically. Can be tricky if not careful (**)
Kuragedaru: Jellyfish that moves slow, and fires of a short-range electrical attack. Easily dealt with (*)
Robot Fish: Moves slow, and can blow the player off course with it's attack. Takes two hits (*)
Submarine: Moves quickly, and stalks the player. Also can 'submerge' under the map to avoid damage. Takes two hits (***)
Crab: Appears in Areas 3-2, 3-3 & 3-4. Moves rapidly and will try to follow the player. Takes two hits (**)
Fish: Appears in Areas 3-2, 3-3 & 3-4 Move slow, but can pass through slow blocks. Takes two hits (**)
Clownfish: Appears in Areas 3-2, 3-3 & 3-4. Moves fast and through soft blocks. May travel in pairs (**)

BOSS: Grub Robs
Annoying, and takes a whopping eleven hits in total. Be wary of his bubbles which shoot around the stage. Not only do they momentarily stun you, but coming into contact with a bomb reduces it's firepower to the bare minimum. It will also defuse bombs with it's claw should it walk next to one.
It's dangerous attack however, is when it rushes across the map to get to Bomberman, if far enough away from it, which can be difficult to avoid getting crushed. It will try to diffuse a bomb if it sees one though.
After six hits, it takes it's second form, which moves quicker, and spams bubbles frequently. Five more hits to down it for good.
