Anto RetroGamer Plays: Mega Bomberman Part 2 - Vexin' Volcano ✔
Anto RetroGamer plays Mega Bomberman (also known as Bomberman '94) for the SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis).
Second level. Vexin' Volcano. Four stages. Considerably tougher then last time out, although not too bad. Be wary of the extra hazards. A vital Power-Up to get is to Remote Bombs, in Area 2-4. Make sure you get it. It should also be noted that you can replay any area too.
Enemies: (Personal difficulty level in parentheses)
Bird: Moves quickly, and can move erratically, although may chase you (**)
Rockum: Walk slowly, and occasionally goes to sleep. Easily disposed off. (DUD).
Furama: Slow, but shoots a lengthy flamethrower, that can pass through soft blocks. Be wary of planting bombs nearby. (**)
Bobo: Appears in Areas 2-2, 2-3 & 2-4. Moves reasonably quick, and is erratic. Not much of a threat beyond that (*)
Fireball: Appears in Areas 2-2, 2-3 & 2-4. Aimless, but will move quickly to a bomb, even as it explodes. Be wary of planting random bombs at distance though (*)
Other features...
The volcanoes that appear in Areas 2-2 (B), 2-4 (A) & 2-4 (B) regularly spew out fireballs in random spots on the map. While the fireballs only stun you, they can destroy soft blocks, and set off laid bombs. Other then that, the Trolleys that take you across the maps are a nice feature. They can take out any soft blocks, bombs and enemies that stand in it's path.

I have no idea why the boss music is different for this level. Tricky second boss, although the Remote Bombs - with high firepower - makes this a lot easier.
Be careful of his Rocket Punch, as they can be tricky to avoid if not expecting it. It will also jump around the stage, causing you to shake still, but planting loads of bombs in between the hard blocks will help hit the mark. It also has a projectile attack, but stands stationary to do it, leaving a wide open slot to attack. Six hits will down it.
