The Crumbling Castle stage is a bit unique. You're actually trying to find Spector on this stage,all other apes you find are unimportant compared to him. Doesn't mean we can't capture them along the way,though. The stage won't end until you find Spector,so you can catch as many apes as you can find. The castle itself is fairly large,and you'll have explore and capture apes along the way,to unlock doors and such.
