The Barbed Terror is one of the easier bosses in this game and is made easier with the Veil of Black Tears. Once you drop your veil, the only thing that can hurt you are the bosses melee attacks which are telegraphed from the next state over.

I'm also using the Ring of the Mantis. That's why my damage spikes after I'm standing still for a second.
