http://www.netbooknews.com Wonder what applications you need on your Netbook? Today we're going to look at a few Essential Netbook Apps. Below is a video showing off the Apps that will make your mobile computing lifestyle a little bit easier.

The first thing that I thought we should look at was the browser the average user is still using Internet Explorer, but changing the interface that you access the internet can improve your browsing experience. We'll take a quick look and compare the two most popular browser alternatives to IE, Firefox vs Chrome.

Next we'll take a look at your media player, sometimes you get a file that won't play in Windows Media Player which is the standard player that comes with Windows. VLC Player will play pretty much any video or audio file format, you won't have to download multiple players you'll just need one.

Everyone needs to keep their computer safe so a good spyware detector should show up on your list. We found this free one inside Intel's AppUp! which is an app store for netbooks. All of the programs in AppUp! have been optimized for netbooks, smaller screen sizes and less power hungry. MaxSpyware was a free app that fixed a runtime issue that I was having, which basically means it was stopping certain programs from running properly. After I ran Max Spyware detector the issue was resoved, not bad for a free app.
