0【Blind Run】Welcome to this new run of mine. Picked it up on a whim a couple of months ago, and I should have been more wary.
This is the budget version of Dishonored, but without any notable engaging plot. It runs through all the usual clichés, from settings to names, the presentation is annoying with the weirdly leveled voice acting, the maps are littered with way too many enemies, and so on.
On top of that, it expects you to rank your dude up a couple of times before you're even remotely useful - a time wasting tactic for projects with too little content, as you'll have to replay the beginning. I mean, you'd want to confuse enemies from the start, right? But you can't even pick up corpses to hide them better. The shadow dissolving method you'll have to unlock later.
Nevertheless, here's me playing it in mostly stealthy sneaky mode, so you don't have to. I cut a few failed attempts out of it, just to save some time. So, if you noticed me having more scrolls than I picked up, that's why.
If this game seriously makes you want it, do yourself the favour and pick Dishonored up instead. It's vastly superior on every aspect, and costs about the same, especially with the Sales coming up. Or, if, like for me, Dishonored isn't doing it in terms of actual ninjaing, get yourself a copy of Tenchu Z, which is vastly superior to either, without any bullshit cheap godlike abilities that just take the point out of playing a stealth game. Or, you know, Splinter Cell is decent. And I have a soft spot for Deus Ex, at least 1 and HR. Those are the good ones. MD, too, if you don't care about a story ever being completed.
