Description:
After the true ending of Gaia's Melody: Echoed Melodies, Akira and her friends settle down in New Tera and try to recover from the trauma of the previous game. Unfortunately, a strange phenomenon is causing the monster population of the town to panic, so the team will have to take up their weapons once more.

The crater is still there, but Choko spots a fellow Usagi.
There's another trial-and-error transport puzzle, though I got lucky and got to the exit faster than with the previous one.
5:01 Arber Village
All the citizens seem to have survived the events of the previous game. However, when you drop Choko off at the elder's place, the citizens act like jerks to the rest of the party.

Aneka reveals that the whole thing is a trap and then has a panic attack about Echo.

You get choices about what to say to Choko to convince her to leave the village, but I went with the "let her choose" option, since she seemed to want to leave in the cutscenes. I don't think the choice really matters, since the game likes to set us up with fake choices. Sure enough, Choko tells the elder that she wants to continue fighting alongside her friends, but the latter brainwashes her.

Fortunately, she can't self-buff like her playable version.

Turns out this entire place is actually distorted and the elder is actually a boss monster.

Even on Normal, his attacks are way too strong. The only good news is that if you have the stats to survive his AOE, Aneka has enough speed to heal everyone if needed.
34:40 Distorted Arber
Near the crater, the party finds an illusion of Akira, but this seems to be connected to the real one somehow. This world is based on memories, but it's starting to affect the real world and Agares isn't the only evil being involved. She takes them to the shrine, but the illusionary Tadase attacks her.
At the shrine, Aaron Brass mocks Choko and claims that Zephyr himself greenlit the attack on Arber.

He seems weaker than the fake elder, though I did gain 5 levels between those fights.
44:51 Restored Arber
The crystal is now bloody like the other ones.
Aneka is conflicted about whether she should care for her new friends or not, since helping them could lead to death.
