I spend much of this segment talking about the subtle ways in which the enemy AI is adjusted depending on the situation to create a particular gameplay experience, and the way in which the game presents the player with a multitude of options and allows the player to deal with the details themselves. However, towards the end of the segment, we see how this approach falls apart a bit in set pieces, as I keep waiting for more enemies to arrive so I can use my enrage tactic, but the game expects you to be running and gunning so they make sure you don't get overwhelmed by multiple enemies. Set pieces and boss fights are usually highly controlled sequences, and when the game gives the player many tools and many ways to approach a problem, there's a greater chance that the player's preferred approach won't fit with the set piece.
