Thanks to the wonders of the Internet I was able to procure one of Archon's debut plastic kits for their new game Starcide (that's supposedly coming to Kickstarter some time in 2019) that they debuted at Adepticon, despite being unable to attend.

For a first time plastic kit, it's not bad. Parts were clearly labeled, with little arrows on the sprue to help in identification. The instructions were pretty clear as to how things need to go together as well.

Main issues for me were some contact points were a bit too shallow- the arms especially. The construction of the arm cradling the staff, the spell book with ghostly energy coming from it, and the shoulder pad was a bit of an irritation. It could have gone together much simpler.

Other big issue is the details seem a bit too shallow in some spots. Some of this may be due to the color of the plastic. I will give it an ink wash and see if that brings things out more.

It bodes well for their plans to have a hard plastic wargame line. Looking forward to getting a hold of their star vampires and space naga samples and see how they compare!
