Are there SNES PAL Problems on the RetroN 3 HD?
13One of my viewers by the name of @thatssomegoodpie left a comment on my review of the Hyperkin Retron 3 HD stating that they were having some issues with it playing PAL Super Nintendo games. For those of you that don't know, many parts of Europe including the UK, used a different CRT television standard than the US and Japan.
They been having these flashes that happen while playing a PAL Super Nintendo games for about 10 minutes. I do not have any SNES games, however, I have an Everdrive and that can play any region games hence the systems would be none the wiser that it is running off FPGA wizardry masquerading as a PAL cartridge.
Can I re-create this issue? Let's see!
Update: Viewer @videogamekingdom re-iterated that they have also seen flashing issues while playing PAL SNES games on the RetronN 3 HD. They are from Italy, a PAL CRT TV Region.
