Modified starvation taming method is a very useful process that normally provides additional levels once it is completed, but you can end up killing the dinosaur due to the tranquilizers arrow damage. The first time you drop the dinosaur with the tranquilizer arrows, you will notice its health numbers are lower than usual. Depending on the size and level of the dinosaur it may survive the attack, but let it wake up and drop it again and the damage can be too much for the smaller dinosaurs it they will be killed. For this reason you would have to continue the taming process using narcotic to keep them unconscious until you start to feed them the required food. In many cases, you will have to continue to feed them narcotic to keep them asleep to finish the taming process and this can take a long time and a lot of narcotic.
