This video is much longer than I originally intended due to some surprising events that took place. At the end of the video a high level Alpha Raptor came to visit and kill, but acted odd compared to the prior behavior of other Alpha Raptors. The AI seems to be able to detect when it would not be wise to attack my avatar that is almost surrounded by a large group of pets I have leveled up. Most of them are not yet at maximum level the game will allow, and some are at maximum level. That raptor would be in big trouble if it attacks me, or one of the pets since the pets are set on neutral. For some reason I cannot explain why the first level spear with the fancy skin attached was applying damage to anything within around 5 feet of it. I had to stop attacking the raptor so I wouldn't also kill off some of my pets that were close to the raptor. The video starts off with a show and tell on how to build the first house, or base structure for the avatar. The catch is the game forces players to starts with thatch, which provides little to no protection since just about any wild dinosaur can attack through thatch and destroy any structure made of it.
