ARK: Survival Evolved #03 : Continued Basework - Colosseum megabuild
14In this instalment of ARK: Survival Evolved I show off some of the progress so far and hit a lot of rocks. We won't do too many like this, focussing instead on progress and planning rather than endless grinding. Once we're a little further along we'll add the opportunity for you to join the server and help us progress towards completion.
The plan for this series is to build colosseum. A big one. To say that the project is big is something of an understatement, and we won't be showing every minor step of the way (do you really want to see 48 hours of me hitting rocks with an axe?) Once it's complete we'll invite all comers to try their hand in the arena in a series of entertaining events.
ARK: Survival Evolved strands you on a futuristic penal colony that also happens to be inhabited with dinosaurs. It's one of the more popular survival games that are all the rage at the moment and it's very easy to see why.
Collaborating with several other noteworthy individuals the plan in this series is to construct a coliseum on the island before inviting all comers to test their strength in the arena. Presided over by yours truly, obviously.
They say, As a man or woman stranded naked, freezing and starving on the shores of a mysterious island called ARK, you must hunt, harvest resources, craft items, grow crops, research technologies, and build shelters to withstand the elements. Use your cunning and resources to kill or tame & breed the leviathan dinosaurs and other primeval creatures roaming the land, and team up with or prey on hundreds of other players to survive, dominate... and escape!
