196Ark: Survival Evolved - How to build a base - Homestead Hexagonal base design Hatchery Workshop Farm and breeding pens (no mods)
This build was at first a prototype for sections of the Mech Hanger I am building but it looks good and works really well as a small base.
I have managed to incorporate pretty much everything you could need.
I started with six hexagonal sets of triangle foundations in a diamond shape and dedicated each building to an aspect of crafting, kibble and food production, dino breeding and living quarters.
I wanted the base to have a sci-fi, futuristic look to it and one of the main features were the corridors, based on some of the designs you see in movies.
The corridors are hexagonal, with vents, consoles and wiring running through them.
I used a mix of Tek and metal structures and painted most of the base in white and Sky.
You can continue to add modules to this base that could be dedicated to any aspect of the game you wish and keep to the overall design.
There were no mods used in the build so it is all good for console and official servers
I had to improvise a little with this tutorial and use a lot of screenshots as I lost around 3 hours of build footage
