There isn't anything wrong with the concept, design or even the base mechanics of Ark: Survival Evolved. It's just the shit optimization, counter-intuitive UI and overall struggle to set up that makes this game probably the most retarded Open World survival game that I have ever played on steam...apart from DayZ of course. Fuck you DayZ.
