A DayZ Mod tip video showing how use the mildots on a some of the sniper rifles (AS50, M107, M24 and DMR) to accurately zero. All credit does to DayZAzimov, as he was the first person to cover the topic, but hopefully I should go into more depth and share some of my opinions. To calculate with the mildots, you just need to find out the height of the object or create, times it by 1000, then divide that number by the height of it it mildots. I'll list a small bunch of calculations of zeroing with some of the more common heights of zombies, or humans in the game (1.8m, 0.9m and 0.4m).

MILDOTS ZEROING CALCULATIONS
Standing Zombie (1.8m):
1.8m × 1000 ÷ 5 = 360
1.8m × 1000 ÷ 4 = 450
1.8m × 1000 ÷ 3 = 600
1.8m × 1000 ÷ 2 = 900
1.8m × 1000 ÷ 1.5 = 1200

Monkey Zombie (0.9m):
0.9m × 1000 ÷ 5 = 180
0.9m × 1000 ÷ 4 = 225
0.9m × 1000 ÷ 3 = 300
0.9m × 1000 ÷ 2 = 450
0.9m× 1000 ÷ 1 = 900
0.9m× 1000 ÷ 0.5 = 1800

Crawling Zombie (0.4m):
0.4m × 1000 ÷ 4 = 100
0.4m × 1000 ÷ 3 = 133
0.4m × 1000 ÷ 2 = 200
0.4m× 1000 ÷ 1 = 400
0.4m× 1000 ÷ 0.5 = 800
