To me, Art has the ability to tackle certain subject and touch people’s hearts far better than any lecture in school, motivational speaker, or even conversations irl could ever do. And look, i do believe that it’s perfectly fine to have pieces of art and media out there that do follow that line of thinking of being safe, light hearted, and for a general audience. Not every piece of art has to challenge the mind, or drag people out of their comfort zone. That’s fine. But this unrealistic mentality that “Art should be for everyone” or “art is problematic and needs to be removed” doesn’t account for the reality that Art Shouldn’t be for EVERYONE.
